MISIA PARIS 2021 COLLECTION PREVIEW
A trip along the Mediterranean, a promise of a never-ending summer, the scent of umbrella pines, fields of lavender and oleander…
The MISIA PARIS 2021 launch invites you to the iconic French Riviera.
In tribute to this most stylish of coasts, coated voiles, iridescent faux-leathers and silks shot with gold add their touch of sunshine to this collection. The large botanic motifs at the heart of the collection, exude their perfume with a simple crumple. At the windows, the cotton and linen textures billow, like a sail off the Croisette. The Carlton velvet with its elegant Art Deco stripe takes us back to the opulence of the hotels in the 1920s, when painters and novelists from all over the world flocked to this coast of dreams to draw their inspiration.
Shades of Celadon, Bronze, Copper, Terracotta, Powder Pink, Caviar and Misia Blue jostle for attention in this collection which is both luxurious and understated, like the mythical hotels of the Côte d’Azur but also luminous and pastel like its summer skies, the facades of the cliffside villages and the crystal-clear water of the creeks under the Sun of the Riviera.
Once again, MISIA PARIS gives pride of place to velvet, with six incredible new designs :
• CARLTON (M281) – a cut looped velvet with an Art Deco inspired stripe, the key to this 2021 collection.
• COSTA AZZURA (M288) – a looped velvet with a small geometric motif with a subtle three dimensional look.
• RÊVERIE PERSANE (M275)– a cut and uncut looped jacquard velvet, traditionally produced and woven with 27 colors of yarn.
• RIVAGE ENDORMI (M283) – a contemporary and daring jacquard, with a frayed sketched design of the coastal landscape.
• CINQ TERRES (M284) – plain corduroy velvet, horizontally textured using “The Shearing Green Design®” technique.
• PORTOFINO (M285) – a plain corduroy velvet with a simple and elegant, Art Deco-inspired vertical stripe.
Two silk jacquards, PROPOLIS (M277), with a poetic honeycomb design, and EDEN ROC (M290), with its subtle micro-textured finish, bring their luminous sheen and matte-glossy contrast to the heart of this collection – as MISIA PARIS likes to do each year.
This launch includes two distinctive designs to spearhead the thematic collection : the 100% linen fabric JARDIN DE CÉZANNE (M280), and the cotton satin PARFUM DU MIDI (M286), two digital prints whose large botanical design exude the fragrances of Provence.
Three colorful textures enrich this launch with natural, fine materials such as linen, recycled cotton or new-wool :
GOLFO PARADISO (M292) with its dynamic energy and 22 colors of yarn, RIVIERA DU LEVANT (M291) and its beautiful fringed look and TERRE DES ARTISTES (M289) inspired by hand-made Scandinavian throws.
The bouclette is still in vogue, which confirms the reedition of ETOILE DU NORD (M263) with its raised finish.
Two fancy textures, L’ÎLE D’OR (M276), a faux-leather, and AZUR COTONNEUX (M282), a faux-fur imitating the feel of Angora wool, like the coated linen voile LUMIÈRE SUR L’EAU (M279), add an extra touch of sparkle and glamour, just like the French Riviera itself.
Different plains, L’ESTÉREL (M278) and RAYOL (M296), a 100% linen basketweave, CAP MARTIN (M295), a linen chenille fabric and FIGUEROLLES (M294), a viscose and linen fabric (also available in a striped version), temper the fervor and intensity of MISIA PARIS.
