Aldeco’s Douro Valley collection is a tribute to one of the world’s oldest demarcated wine regions—a place where nature, history and human ingenuity converge.

Inspired by the terraced hills, sun-warmed vineyards and the flowing Douro River once navigated by Barcos Rabelos, this collection weaves together rich textures and geometric forms drawn from the land itself.

Honouring figures like D. Antónia “Ferreirinha”—a pioneering force in the Port Wine industry—and the artisans who shaped its legacy, Douro Valley blends ancestral techniques with refined design.

Each fabric tells a story of resilience, tradition and quiet beauty, brought to life through colour, structure and soulful craftsmanship.

DOURO VALLEY is an embroidered linen-look fabric featuring flowing botanical motifs inspired by the Douro’s native landscapes. Available in three colourways—natural, warm and cool—it captures the region’s seasonal beauty with delicate, stylised stitching.

VALLADO is a cotton satin fabric embroidered with rich, varied stitches, inspired by the terraced vineyards of the Douro. Named after a historic estate tied to Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, its geometric design echoes the river’s rhythm and vineyard slopes.
